Weird Science?

No screen tearing in the 360 version.

It's entirely possible your screen tearing issue could have been fixed by changing the resolution on your TV.

I say "possible" just because it makes me think of "Resident Evil: Africa" (i forget which number) which had awful screen tearing unless you dropped your XBox Resolution down from 1080p to 720p.

 

How is it?

It's not that the framerate drops, it's that it's poor to begin with. Looks horrible to me. And I see screen tearing constantly. Hope it gets fixed.

 

I contacted EA support regarding the awful screen tearing, the chat advisor confirmed they
will be fixing the screen tearing. In the meantime they suggested clearing the cache to 'help' with the problem, I haven't tried it yet but these are the steps they sent:

You can clear Cache and Alternate MAC Address for Xbox One.

go into the Alternate MAC Address section of their Xbox One by the path below:

Settings ->

Network Settings

Advanced Settings

Alternative Mac Address

Select Clear

shut down the console

disconnect the power cord from the back of the Xbox One and wait two minutes.

plug the power back in and wait for the power bricks light to go from White to Orange.

Once the power brick has the Orange light start the console and try the game again.





Not quite sure how this helps as it seems more of a software issue than a set up issue, worth a try though.

 

Good you heave contact ea i will do so 2 but sure this is a big problem for Ea peps heave been talking about this SCREEN TEARING since beta... hope 4 soon fix..i read some say its the hdmi cable some say its your tv i know it is not must be software or
server

 

Either I'm blind or this isn't an issue for everyone. I've been playing since the beta and haven't noticed this issue at all in my games.

 

You'll only see it when the frame rate stutters maybe 4-5 times in a game, its definitely there I'm afraid, digital foundry explain it in detail in the following article:

just starting having the same problem this few days playing Titanfall, I dont have more games to see if is just Titanfall but other demos seem to work fine, its just Titanfall and not all the time. hope they fix this.

 

hopefully they get this fixed in May when the new DLC comes out.. some performance fix is on the way i think

 

Microsoft pleaseeeeee fix the screen tearing of the games with any patched for the console xbox one .

hey guys I have the same problem. I have a very good and expensive monitor so I know its not that. ive also changed hdmi cables. I don't have any friends that have this problem and im glad to hear it wanst just me. my XB1 is in for repair right now because
the disc drive is making noise and having trouble reading disc. I'm pretty sure that's what the screen tearing and frame rate issues are all about. are you guys having any problems with your console.

 

The games with more screen tearing are:

Titanfall, amazing spiderman 2 , trials fusion.

there are only three for now and with any fixed for resolution you could do something to resolved .

Never had this problem , game always runs smooth as silk.

 

So I don't know , it will be my Tv sony bravia full HD 1080p but I doubt because the games that I said before all the analisys of web as eurogamer or vandal say too ( amazing spiderman 2 another game with screen tearing only on xbox one )

 

game runs smoothly for me and i have never had this issue in over 100 hours of gameplay.
