Screen stuck on preparing console then goes to error then no signal and just repeats all steps.

Did the reset console with leave games and apps. Console powered itself off.

When I turned it back on, screen said it was preparing the console and then the signal between the console and the TV was lost and the console powered itself off.

I tried to power it back on, came up preparing console again, it is now stuck at 61%

I am having the exact same issue.

Modern Warfare constantly was freezing and crashing my Xbox. Waited a few days and put it back on today after the patch. Game goes on the loading screen then a black screen, nothing happens. Then began to follow the troubleshooting online. Tried a hard reboot
and no HDMi signal detected. Plug it into a different TV and comes on very slowly. When it restarts... no HDMi signal detected. Pull out all the power etc, go to a third TV and go to do a console reset, gets stuck on preparing console. Go to do a usb software
update reset, is stuck on 0% at Preparing console. Absolutely no issues up until this point. So basically the game has killed my Xbox One X. Went online and it is out of warranty so when I went on the Microsoft site they want me to give them £240 for a refurb
replacement after a £60 game I downloaded from their store broke the console! (do you get a different response on the phone??) HELP!

When going through a factory reset (i chose to wipe all content) the console would do a restart power cycle which will take 10-20 minutes of no signal then black screen then it'll say preparing, which then brings up another "something went wrong" page.

I have made 5 attempts to restart the console to factory and each time I'm stuck.

Thanks for coming to the forums. We recommend trying a
soft factory reset. Sometimes updates come or applied, this is when you see this screen. If it was doing an update when you unplugged it, update most likely glitched.

1. Power off your console, and then unplug the power cord to ensure that the console is completely powered off.
   
2. Wait 30 seconds, and then plug the power cord back in.
3. Press and hold the BIND button (located below the Xbox button on the console) and the
   EJECT button (located on the front of the console), and then press the
   Xbox button on the console.
   Note The Xbox One S All-Digital Edition does not have an
   EJECT button. You can bring up the Xbox Startup Troubleshooter on this console by holding only the
   BIND button (steps 3 & 4) and then pressing the Xbox button
   .
   
4. Continue holding the BIND and EJECT buttons for 10-15 seconds.
   
5. Listen for two “power-up” tones a couple of seconds apart. You can release the
   BIND and EJECT buttons after the second power-up tone.
6. The console should power up and take you directly to the Xbox Startup Troubleshooter.

This is where you will select reset this Xbox.

Hi , xbox one s got stuck on green screen so decided to do a reset by pulling out power cable , im now stuck on preparing console screen but dont have a loading bar , any help much appreciated .
