Screen stuck on crashed app image - even after reboot

I installed the Sky App on my xbox one and then began watching some catch up TV. The show we were watching then crashed and the screen was stuck, showing the program we were watching.

I rebooted the XBOX one and when it loaded back up, it was still showing the same crashed app screen. The controlled works and you can here the screens changing (swiping left and right) but the screen only shows the crashed app image.....

I have also held the power button for 10 seconds and unplugged the power for 30 seconds, but it still shows only the crashed app. It seems this app is stuck in RAM and is hanging on every boot up.

Any advise will be very much appreciated.

Adventure Mode crash bug. Update please?

Me, too. Had played it for a long time just fine, but today it crashed. Can't get it going, even after reboot.

Green loading screen stuck

same issue was kicked offline to update did so after update black screen for 20m did a hard reboot now stuck on green screen. download offline update tool. Will update if it solves the issue

This is a scenario that I am not sure I've ever seen. For the most part, a hard reset (the 10 second hold) resolves this. Let's see if we can force the update troubleshooter screen to appear for you. We have the steps to do that listed in our

Update Troubleshooting article. The options you'll want to select to get this to appear are:

Step 1, select I NEED TO UPDATE MY CONSOLE OFFLINE

Step 2, select ORIGINAL XBOX ONE

The next step will show the sequence you need to follow to get the Xbox Startup Troubleshooter. From here, you can select "Reset this Xbox". You can select the option to keep your games & apps when it prompts you.

For me, even after update of today, app load but after the main screen appear, before I select any workout, it crashes to home.
