    Screen Stretching Issues following recent update in April


    Hello,

    Since the recent April Xbox Update my console has had its screen stretched outside of the TV's borders. Prior to the update it was perfectly fine and within the borders of my TV.

    The support tech I spoke to wasn't able to replicate the issue on their end and I even showed him screenshots of the issue occurring and what the actual screen should look like.

    I tried all of the display settings before trying different TVs that had options that fixed the screen stretching, however my tv that the issue is still occurring in doesn't have those. It'd be good if the Xbox had the same options of newer TVs so that those
    with old TVs can have their settings updated manually.

    The setting I used was 'Just Scan/Fit To Screen' and like I said that fixed the issue on other TVs but not on the tv that it was working on before the update.

    I don't want to have to purchase a new tv as this one still works and I don't want to use the smaller screens either. I'd much rather have the issue fixed in a future update and have further options for display settings like mentioned above.

    Has anyone else experienced the same issue?

    Did you update your controller yet? The recent April update made everyone re-update their controllers.

    Hey there, this sounds like an overscan issue. The console itself is not capable of adjusting this. Overscan will be dependent on the TV in use. It sounds like you have checked the menus on the TV for overscan options, and were unsuccessful. In this case,
    we would recommend reaching out to the manufacturer of the TV for further assistance in this area.

    It wasn't doing this last week though before the update.

    The tv is 10 years old or so, so the manufacturer wouldn't be able to do anything as there isn't any way to update the tv settings.

    Surely what I've suggested above could be implemented in a future update. It would give everyone more options for display on Xbox without having to change tv settings.

    To fix the stretched screen issue in Fortnite, you can try changing the screen resolution settings on your PC. Right-click on your desktop and select Display settings.
