Screen size on my old tv?

Hi I have an older tv that only has 2 screen size options both of which cut off the screen on anything includeing my Xbox is there any way to fix this for the Xbox I can deal with it on everything else

many older, cheaper TVs do not have the ability to compensate for overscan

You'll have to adjust the screen size on games that offer it or replace the TV

Likely a setting on your TV that adjusts screen size is the problem.

On your TV, bring up the settings menu with the TV remote, and find the setting that adjusts aspect ratio or screen size. You are probably set to “zoom”.

I have the same problem. Some games have an option to shrink the screen size, but most don't. The dashboard needs an option to change screen size. Because I can't do it manually on my tv.

Unfortunately, the Xbox One and Series X|S consoles do not have a built-in feature to manually adjust the screen size. The console relies on the TV's settings to adjust the screen size, so if your TV does not have the option to adjust screen size, you will not be able to adjust it on the console.

Changing the picture size to Fit To Screen

You'll need to adjust Picture Size settings to enable Fit to Screen Mode.

Settings > Picture > Picture Size > Fit to screen
