Screen Shots

I've updated my console, and for the life of me I can't get the screen capture to work. I've double tapped the xbox home button and nothings happens. Am I missing something?

I'd use it for posting a few shots to Twitter or for custom background use.

Like I said I can do it now in a work around sort of way. " record that " watch clip on Smartglass "pause" at desired frame " take screenshot on phone " clip picture and post.

i may never use it. though ps4 already has this anyway so i understand xbox getting it aswell

 

It should be double tap and press Y i believe, there should be a prompt telling you what to press.

 

I've double tapped, but have not received a prompt to press Y...

 

Does anything appear? the option to snap an app etc .

 

What are you trying to screenshot? I believe you can only screenshot in game.

After I updated this morning I couldn't take screen captures either. I did the double tap on the Xbox button and the small boxes would come up but there was no option to press Y to save. I turned off the system and came back to it this afternoon and it
worked. No idea why it didn't this morning. Sounds like you're in the same boat.

 

You can also do it with Kinect Voice Commands. I watched the Whats in the March Update video on the Dashboard. It's a kwl feature.

 

I have the same issue. Have you fixed yours?

 

Make sure 'Allow Broadcasts and game DVR uploads' is still checked in settings / preferences. )
