  1. Screen limits for parent account

Hi - I set up screen time restrictions for my son on Xbox, however, he was playing under my gamertag due to content restrictions so now the screen limit restrictions aren't working. Am I able to put screen limits on a parent account? I was going to push
him back to his gamertag, but we have spent a lot of money under mine and don't want to start over. I just recently found out about screen time limits, so now I'm trying to retrofit everything. Hoping you have another suggestion! Thanks

    :)

¿Cómo puedo ver el tiempo de uso activo de la consola? -[Translation - How do I view the active console usage time?]

    Hello NUVR,

Thank you for bringing this issue to our attention. There is a way to manage screen time for the Xbox if the

child account and parent account are tied to a family. The article entitled
Set Up Screen Time Limits for Your Child
will provide steps on how to establish screen time. Be sure to let us know if this helps.

No you can't put screen limit to a parent account, that works only with children accounts

While you can't impose time limits on an adult account (and even if you could, as an adult you, or the person using the adult account could easily change them back), your son can use their own Gamertag, and with the Xbox One's Home Console sharing, your
son can still play the games played with your account.

The only thing is, that he would have to start over. But he can play your games without having to spend money buying the games again.

  6. I am in your shoes. I never knew about a "child account" before I let my son go crazy with Fortnite. Can I change my account to be a child account now, so that I can make use of time limits?

The integration between XBox Gamertags and Microsoft accounts is far from clear.

No. It's not possible to change an adult account to a child account.

Family time limits and ways to override

The parent account has access to screen time limits. If you are the parent, I would suggest you set a strong password and never allow your child access to it.
