    screen is dimmed when watching movie on Xbox One


    Hi there,

    Sinds the update to window 10 layout on Xbox one the screen is dimmed when watching/streaming a movie on Xbox One.

    It look likes a sort of screensaver. I have to touch the xbox control and then the screen turns good.. and after a while the dimmed screen is turning up again.

    Can't find any setting about it to turn this off when watching a (stream)movie.

    How to fix this?

    Xbox One dims screen every ten minutes

    Ever since the recent large scale update, the Xbox has dimmed the screen every ten minutes. This happens despite the presence of a live user in view of the Kinect. Needless to say, this is irritating when one is watching an hour and a half long movie.
    Also, there is no ststem setting to disable screen dimming in this new version. Assistance is appreciated.

    My Opinions, Thoughts and Concerns.

    Did you have an Xbox 360, pkvas? The screen never dimmed while watching movies of any sort (Dvd, Netflix, Streaming media from PC..etc). It's only when idle and no action at all that it goes dim. If the 360 has the feature, why not carry that over to
    the Xbox One. It's a pretty big deal for a lot of people. You might not understand it completely, but it is.

    Should be a way to turn that feature off in the console settings.

    This has happened to me in the past. The way I resolved it (hopefully it works for you) is, I simply unplugged the XBOX and plugged it back in. Never had the issue again.

    It is a glitch with the Screen Saver System. It happend to me before screen is dimmed when watching movie on Xbox One :(

    I just unplugged the power adaptor from the power outlet my Xbox 5 minutes and turned it back on, problem solved screen is dimmed when watching movie on Xbox One :)

    Check the settings on the TV with the TV remote Menu.
