Screen is dark - colors wonky

Please proceed to do a power cycle to fix the issue

1. Turn off your console by holding the Xbox button  on the front of the console for approximately 10 seconds. The console will turn off.

2. Turn your console back on by pressing the Xbox button  on the console or the Xbox button  on your controller.

If you don't see the green boot-up animation when the console restarts, repeat these steps. Make sure that you hold the power button until the console completely shuts down.

Important If your console is in Sleep mode, the above steps will shut the console off completely. Sleep mode, or the ability to turn on your console by saying "Xbox on," won't be enabled until you restart the console.

I used the solid color (dark blue)..and set my app colors to medium green...it looks nice!!!!!

For anyone looking i've resolved the problem. It has to do with the Color Space settings in Settings>Display and Sound.

When it was switched to PC (RGB FULL) I was getting the occasional black screen on apps as noted above. In my testing i noticed this was only happening with a dark screen, I.E. a dark black loading screen or a dark area in a movie. What i can only assume
is that RGB FULL has a black level that is not supported by the HDTV. (Note that this was tested with a VIZIO 60' LED HDTV, just for reference)

THE FIX: Change it back to TV (RGB Limited), and if needed go through the TV Calibration to correct the color levels as you see fit.

The issue hasn't come back since making these changes for me. Hopfully this helps anyone else that stubbles on this thread looking for a solution.

Mixing dark colors are so funny for me.

Never had a game so wonky, between no loads or out right console shutoffs, occasionally the cars appear without paint jobs only a dull grey color and then during actual races the frame rates drop to the point of being unplayable. It's more stressful than
it's worth. And I might as well mention a personal dislike of the players garage not being available to a guest on split screen racing. Come on Microsoft we expected better than this...
