Screen is black, days after update.

So my machine did the update and its been fine. Last night I turned it on and everything came on as expected, but no screen. The kinect is on, it turned the tv on, etc. I don't hear any volume from the system when I use my controller either like some
say they have.

I have tried multiple times to reboot by holding down the power button for ten seconds and also unplugged for about 30 minutes and tried. Exact same response, everything loads up, kinect and xbox light are on, but no audio or video.

Please help!

I am getting black screen after update on x360,let set ,unstalled,reinstalled still black screen ????

 

Green screen to black screen

Just as a heads up, the black screen is normal.

It should be green splash, black screen then dashboard.

After a system update, the black screen can remain for a few minutes before you see anything.

 

You sound like you may have a different problem that the one added by the update. Because for the normal black screen bug the sound still works.

Have you tried a different HDMI cable?

Have you tried plugging into a different HDMI socket?

It sounds like there is no picture or sound being received by your tv which means either your TV, HDMI cable or console is faulty.

If you have any other HDMI devices then try plugging them into the tv to rule out a faulty tv

 

Just found this out, something must have happened to the HDMI cable. Never seen that before. Thanks!
