    Screen going black during games/Netflix...


    I know this is par for the course with getting preview builds, but earlier this week HDR10/AUTO HDR was grayed out. I sent traces and that is now at least available/checked. Now it seems that the screen goes black, almost like a handshake issue with HDMI. And, while watching The Boys, the screen actually went to sleep after a minute of watching the show, and an Xbox notification was on the right, as if the screen had been inactive for so many minutes. Anyone else having this new fun wrinkle in this update?

    Xbox Series X - Black screen while sound is still playing

    I have the same problem. It's happened quite a few times.

    Series X and Lg CX.

    Watching Netflix, the screen goes black. I still see the Netflix interface and if I back out of the video, I get back to the Netflix selection screen. Pressing the home button takes me back to the Xbox dash board. Going back into the video, it plays for 2 seconds, and then black screen again. At first I thought it was Dolby Vision, so I disabled that, and still black screen. Changed it from 120hz to 60hz, black screen. I ended up closing the Netflix app from the Xbox Dashboard and it seems to be working fine now.

    I'm pretty tech savvy, so I can troubleshoot, but for someone that isn't, this is horrible. Especially after paying money for this thing. It should just "work"

    When does this black screen occur? During gaming or at startup.

    Xbox one powering on to a black screen after logo screen.

    During normal start up it will go to the green xbox screen with loading dots on the bottom then it will display a black screen. If the black screen is what your talking about give it a minute for the xbox logo to pop up. The console is loading the dashboard
    when you see that screen.
