Screen goes blank during games on Xbox One

Hi

I have an Xbox one S around 18months old and recently during games the tv goes blank for a split second then the display returns. This happens around 8-10 times during a match on FIFA for example.

Ive checked all the connections and they seem fine. Does anybody have an idea what may be causing this?? Its driving me mad

Screen goes Blank

xbox one keeps having a blank screen during gaming, it only lasts 5sec but in that time it seems the game is still running even though i can't see it on TV. Now playing Halo5 and i get to a certain spot in the game and it just goes to the Home Screen. Help

Anyone having issues with display going blank for a second or two, but comes right back? The sound still works during the time the screen goes blank.

That sounds like the console might need a Soft Factory Reset you can try that and let us know how it goes!

Is this only happening on Fifa? If So, I would recommend
Uninstalling the game and then
reinstalling the game.

It sounds like you have already tried to troubleshoot this issue a bit. If you have not yet attempted to reset your console that is another step you might be able to try out. Go ahead and follow

this link. It will take you to an article that guides you on steps to reset your console. You can always attempt to Reset and keep games and apps so you don't loose any of your games and see if that works.

Read the article carefully as it let's you know what items are removed when selecting "Keep games and apps".

If this happens during game play, try troubleshooting the affected game folder. If the problem persists, please try

resetting the console operating system, by reset and keep games and apps. (This will log you off your profiles, make sure to know your email and password for your account.)

If this happens with all content after all the other troubleshooting tips have been performed,

try troubleshooting the Xbox One S.

Thanks for all your replies & advice. It happens during all game play not just FIFA so i’ll try a soft reset and see if that works.

Hello jonathanJones4 sorry to hear having so many issues you can try offline
update. Also try different HDMI cable if you have one.
