    Screen flickers white when watching a blu-ray show


    Hey guys, I have the day one Xbox and it’s still pushing through. I’ve played a lot of games ranging from red dead 2 to Witcher 3 and faced no problems whatsoever.

    The other day I wanted to watch a blu ray show so I downloaded the blu ray app on my Xbox and I inserted the disc. Then these white flickers kept showing up to the point where the show was unwatchable. I can watch Amazon prime without no problem it’s just blu ray.

    My TV is a Samsung LE40C530F1W 1080p 60hz. It’s pretty old.

    I’m guessing whenever it changes from 60hz to 24hz when watching a blu ray the screen starts to flicker. Is there a way to fix this? Thank you!

    using VGA on Xbox one should be a criminal offense, why not watch a blu-ray on a 13 inch black and white screen

    Thank you for your response.

    This happened couple of months ago when trying to play blu-ray movie, restart solved the issue.

    Since watched few different blu-ray and uhd movies. Watched one this morning (uhd), in the evening tried to play blu-ray and display started flickering. Restart didnt help. Tried to play uhd which I watched this morning, display is flickering, tried few
    different blu-ray's - display flickering.

    Power cycle - done

    Persistent storage - done

    Bluray app reinstalled

    Cables and ports checked, unplugged- plugged

    Settings on the tv, checked, unchanged

    ***I have played a game from disc and no problems. If I was to uninstall the game and install it again from a disc, would that eliminate possibility of faulty disc drive***

    I have the screen flicker problem with my brand new Sony XBR 75" 850E. Only flickers when set to 4k on the xbox. SUCKS. I think I'm going to buy a UHD blu ray player and test it, If it doesn't fix the problem, I'll return it. If it does, I will drive my
    Jeep over the xbox.

    It appears that the issue has resolved itself. I played a game for a bit once again, watched part of a 4K Blu-ray, and there was no screen flickering. I played with some settings, but I think everything ended back up in default, so I’m not sure what happened
    to resolve it. All’s well that ends well.

    I have the same issue with my Samsung KS9090 + Xbox One S. When I play Destiny I notice screen flickering in the character screen- and only when I choose 4K+10Bit color. All the other games and HDR Blu Rays are running fine in 4K and HDR, except Destiny.
