    Screen flickering black


    Since the last update this has been a bigger issue and happening more often. Occasionally the screen goes black and lose sound but games continue (not ideal for online gaming). Happens while playing or while xbox one is idle. I have my xbox plugged into
    a monitor and i have tried both Hdmi ports on it and changed the cable with the same issue. Before the update it happened occasionally but happening everyday now. Has anyone else had this issue and know a fix? Is it software or hardware issue (and update was
    coincidence).

    First hook up!

    I hooked Xbox one up. Turned it on. Got the xbox green screen then screen went black. It's been black for 30 minutes. So I checked the video input on my tv sees fine but now it is flickering. What is going on?

    Sorry to hear about the trouble you're having. To check, do you have your console plugged directly into your TV or is there a device between the two? Also, do you have your console plugged directly into a power outlet or is there a power adapter between
    the two?

    What monitor are you using?

    Do you get the same flickering problems when you connect the Xbox to a different display or TV? Definitely try this out.

    As far as I can tell, it sounds like an HDCP problem.

    Despite this happening on a tv in the past, I have come to the conclusion that I definitely think now the issue is my monitor.

    There was an official Problem with HDR Flickering on that TVs and Xbox but that should be fixed a time ago

    The screen flickers when HDR or HDMI ULTRA HD Deep Colour is on in the TV, after a while of flickering it goes black, then the TV loses the signal from the Xbox. That's
    my problem.

    If I deactivate HDMI ULTRA HD Deep Colour, then there's no more flickering and no more black screen.

    Well it isn't fixed yet, I'm 100% sure I am on the latest firmware on both the LG C9 and the Xbox One X.
