    Screen flicker with XSX and HDR enabled.


    This seems to have happened with one of the latest builds. Whenever I load up an HDR capable game, the screen constantly flickers in and out. On my TV info box that appears it seems to be going between normal and HDR10 and that's what's causing the screen to flicker. When I disabled HDR in the video mode portions of settings, the flicker went away.

    I do have my XSX plugged in though a Hue Sync box, but that device has not had a recent firmware update, so no changes on that end. I also tried rebooting the Xbox, Hue Sync Box, and the TV, to no luck. I had also disabled and re-enabled all of the various HDR modes and restarted my game, with no luck.

    There was an official Problem with HDR Flickering on that TVs and Xbox but that should be fixed a time ago

    The screen flickers when HDR or HDMI ULTRA HD Deep Colour is on in the TV, after a while of flickering it goes black, then the TV loses the signal from the Xbox. That's
    my problem.

    If I deactivate HDMI ULTRA HD Deep Colour, then there's no more flickering and no more black screen.

    Well it isn't fixed yet, I'm 100% sure I am on the latest firmware on both the LG C9 and the Xbox One X.

    On your console display settings, is HDR and Dolby Vision enabled?

    Most people that get flickers on the screen (both playing or only on the dashboard) with Dolby Vision on is because both HDR and Dolby Vision are enabled at the same time.

    Just try to turn HDR off and see if it solves your problem. If it does, unfortunately we will not be able to do much about it. It's a bug reported by some people and the only option would be use HDR or Dolby Vision, not both at the same time :(

    I’m having the same issue, but its on the Xbox One X, and its only with HDR. Screen will flicker on and off randomly. If i wait long enough screen will stay black, never come back. I had to disable HDR on the port, flicker goes away ( so does hdr). Everything
    worked before the most recent update. Happens on every port, and only happens wjth my xbox. Thoughts?

    LG HDMI Ultra HD Deep Color issue (Screen flickering)

    not sure if the flickering is the same. But i have a sony 4k with HDR and when ever i am playing games i will get flickering., The screen does no flicker as in a HDMI problem as in turning on and off. It's more like the color flickering from dark to light
    really fast. But If I turn off 4k on the Xbox it will correct the problem.
