Screen flashes black

Since the last update I have noticed my screen flashing black. I have searched the forums and found this issue was common at launch with certain tvs. Idon't have those brands and it just started. Never did find a solution listed but I think the problem
expanded on update. Anyone know the solution?

I will also suggest that the Xbox is plugged directly to house power, it is not supposed to use surge protectors, power strips or extension cords. If at all possible use the same wall socket for the TV as The HDMI signal may be distorted if polarity is not
observed on both the console and the TV. And both the console and the TV should have been purchased in the region they are being used in, power converters if used will be an issue.

If there would be a loose Connection MY TV would Display: "There is no Signal"

But it does not.

So that means, that the XB1 is sending BlackScreen Signal and no Audio in this short break!

Definitly a XBOX Problem.

All other devices works well on My TV.

HDMI is a standart Protocol which seems to be not used by Microsoft.

Sorry to hear about the flashing black screen. Is there a specific time when the issue occurs ( In start up screen, in-game, ect.) or does it occur at random times? Just to make sure that we have not missed any troubleshooting steps, I recommend trying a few
to see if we can get this issue sorted.

Please give the following steps a try:

• Press and hold the power button on your Xbox One console for 10 seconds.
• Once your console is powered off, unplug the power cord.
  
• Wait 5 minutes and then plug in your console.
  
• Power on your console and check to see if the issue continues.
  

Please give the suggested steps a shot and let us know if you are still continuing to experience the flashing black screen.

 

Tried that didn't work. Seems to be random. I may have found the problem though. After doing your steps I noticed that one time it flashed my tv went to no signal. Grabbed the HDMI cord from my 360 and put it in the xbox one. Didn't seem to be doing it.
Going to continue to watch and see if that was it.

Since you tried using a different HDMI cable and the issue seems to have stopped, it may just be a defective HDMI cable. Please let us know if the black flashing screen issue happens again and we will see what we can to help.

 

Ok so today I was on my xbox one for almost three hours. Did not flash once. So looks like it was the HDMI cord. So I know a regular HDMI cord isn't recommended and I would like to put the one I am using back on my 360 so where can I get a replacement?
