    Screen Dims while watching Vudu/Netflix


    While watching a Vudu movie for about 10 minutes the screen dims and you have to move the remote to wake it back up. The way I fixed this issue when it happens while Watching Netflix was to use Amazon fire or built in app in TV. or PC connected to TV. Anyway
    is that what I will have to do to 'fix' this issue (i.e. just use something else that works?) Is there a setting that says do do this? I've turned off the auto shut off just in case that would help but it doesn't.

    ESPN and Netflix apps are constantly dimming

    While watching various apps, including ESPN and Netflix, my Xbox One S will dim the screen approximately every ten minutes or so. I have to hit some button on the controller to light the screen back up. Please help!

    Hi there,

    This does seem like a fairly widespread issue from what I can see and unfortunately I haven't found a solid fix. Some have said the good old power cycle worked, hold the power button on the console until the system completely powers down, unplug it from
    the power socket for 30 seconds and plug back in and start it up.

    I also read that having your headphones plugged into your controller stops it without you having to constantly move the controller.

    One last thing is checking your ambient lighting settings on the TV itself as again a few have said this was their issue, unfortunately I couldn't find a consistent fix for it.

    Sorry to hear about the trouble with the screen dimming in Netflix. To check does this happen with any other apps? To look a bit more into this, can you clarify if you're using a Kinect sensor and which OS version your Xbox One is on? Also, can you clarify
    which power mode you have your console set to?

    No kinetic sensor attached and just got update. It was ok before the update. I am using the small xbox controller for movies. Help please.

    Screen dimming timer

    Why would i want it dimmed while im using it is the real question? If i had it on a menu or home screen for an extended time sure dimming it is a great idea. While im trying to watch a program, any program longer than an hour, im supposed to turn on the
    controller and "move a stick on my controller" EVERY HOUR? Thats dumb! Netflix has a "are you still watching?" And the screen will dim, how bout xbox tail on with the idea? There is no never option.
