Screen dims automatically after 10 minutes of viewing Netflix, Hulu, YouTube, DVDs and ...

Immediately after downloading the new Xbox One Experience update I have been unable to watch any video for more than 10 minutes without the screen dimming. Granted, all I have to do is tap a button on the controller to get the screen back to normal, but
that has translated into my controller having to be constantly on. I now go through batteries every couple days now. I contacted customer support, and after they were unable to solve my issue, they told me to post here. Can someone find a fix for this?

    :)

Dimming while 10min in a show

My one dims too after 10 minutes.. Doesn't matter if it's HBO, YouTube, twitch, casting, it dims.

    So dumb.

Idle Options bug - Xbox One October 2017 update

I just updated and watching USB TV on my XBOX One where the default Settings/Preference/Idle Options - Preferences now dims my TV session after 10 mins - I cannot disable dimming, only set to max 60 minutes. Why isn't this disabled for TV - I assume other
apps like Netflix, YouTube, DVD have same issue? Is this an oversight in testing the update before release?

I'm having the same problem. I downloaded today's update and it didnt fix the issue (suggested by one). Multiple calls and about 3 hours on the phone wth xbox support and their ultimate suggestion is I open a fix tcket and take my xbox into to be "repaired".
Seriously not the correct answer. The other topic on this issue is:

Agreed. All my movies and tv are handled through the Xbone. It is quite frustrating.

  7. Seems to be an issue with apps installed BEFORE the NXOE dashboard update. Uninstall all of your apps that are affected, unplug your console from power for 10 mins. Plug the power back in and use the console power button to reboot your Xbox One. Reinstall
your apps (I used the smartglass app on my phone to do this but I guess it should work with your controller also).
