    Screen Dimming During Video Streaming


    I'm using my Xbox One to stream video through apps such as HBO Now, Hulu, Netflix, and Sling TV. I've noticed recently that when I stream the video, after roughly 10 minutes of "inactivity" (Even though the video is still streaming and I'm still watching)
    the screen dims to a level where I can't see the video. This is getting extremely frustrating. I'm just trying to find a fix for this. Does anyone have any advice/solutions? Also, the whole "Just move the joystick on your controller every now and then" isn't
    an acceptable solution. I've spent far too much money on my Xbox to have to use a ridiculous workaround for something like this.

    After update, screen dims when watching Netflix

    Has anybody had any response for this dimming problem during streaming video. Very frustrating.

    Bug Report - Idle dimming occurs during video playback

    While useful to dim the screen after X minutes of idle activity, the newest preview update does not ignore dimming during video playback. This is especially evident while watching movies, when I need to reach for the controller every 10 minutes to wake up
    the screen.

    HI GH Torque,

    I'm 100% sure that HBO Now has an issue with this, and it's on the app side. I use most of the other services you listed, and personally don't have any issues with dimming in them. If you're having issues I would suggest doing a hard reset. With the console
    on, hold the power button down for about 8 seconds until it turns off. After it's powered off, then turn it back on. See is this resolves the issues with the apps other than HBO Now. For HBO you're going to need to wait for an update on their end.,
