    Hi

    Since a few days ago we have had an issue with the screen dimming while watching movies on Netflix, Amazon etc. I have seen that you can lengthen screen dimming (idle options) to an hour. This still means turning controller back on and flicking stick during movie. Is there a way to disable this? Is this a known issue from a recent patch/update? Or is this something to tolerate until having to change to a PS5?

    Hmm. That just seems like your Xbox is just registering the movies as you being idle, which is somewhat weird. I've never heard of this issue before today.

    Uninstalling and unplugging seems to have done the trick thank you.

    is it happening with blue ray or is it in apps. I know there was an issue when the idle mode was being tested in the Insider Preview, a couple of years back. Try removing the app, powering off the console and unplugging for at least a minute, then power
    up again and see if that helps. If that doesn't work, go to settings>systems>console info>reset console and select rest keeping all games and apps.
