    hi,

    over the past few days my screen is dimmed on startup

    my system is set to instant on

    only way to fix is reboot. that works until the next time i turn on, same problem , very annoying.

    Hwy,

    Almost every time I say "xbox on" is starts as if in screen saver. I need to reboot it to get a bright screen.

    Haven't been home for a while but it didn't do that before the last update.

    what can be done?

    Dim screen on startup

    The first step that I would try is a hard reset. To do this, go to Settings, Power, Turn Xbox off. Turn it back on after a few seconds and see if it helps. If that doesn't work, do the same thing again, but this time unplug the power cord from the back of
    the console for 5 minutes before trying again.

    Seems to be an issue with instant on.i have been getting it a lot more recently

    For now just keep doing the power cycle and hopefully it will get fixed soon

    Screen Dim On Startup

    Same here too. Tried shutting down console, pulling power and hdmi, waiting 5 minutes, and hooking it all back up as suggested by other threads, but it starts happening again after a day or two. Super annoying.

    Hey guys. If I remember correctly, this is an issue Microsoft are aware of and should have a fix for very soon. I'll try to find a source for that if I can.

    another person here with the same issue, If Xbox (Microsoft) are aware its effecting so many people it should be a priority. What are they doing to compensate those effected........
