    Screen Burn


    Hey I have a little screen burn on my monitor. My monitor is Asus MX239H 23'' . My xbox like froze for 5seconds while I had the party screen open and after that Ive seen the party on the background of everything. Is there any possibility that this is because
    of my xbox or is this my monitor? Anyway to fix it? Please help.

    Getting constant "Can't Download" when trying to download games.

    You can't leave the active download screen on your tv u will screen burn it

    If an image is burned into the screen, it's burned in. I'd contact the monitor manufacturer about it as that is not an Xbox problem.

    While burn-in is less common with LED TVs than Plasma or CRTs, it does still happen. However it should take a LOT more than 5 seconds for an image to burin-in - it is usually a couple of hours on a static image before a LED will show burn-in on the screen.
    It would not be an issue with the Xbox, but with the TV itself. I recommend visiting the Asus web site for possible solutions.

    But here is the thing. The image on the background only shows up if I play xbox. I tried it on my computer and its not there.

    That's not how screen burn works... it's there, you simply are not seeing it due to contrast, background image, etc., etc., etc.

    It's not a screenburn, its a problem with the video out signal.

    Try to restart your console, check the cables and see if you can see/use other devices without that problem.

    First thing I would do is try performing a hard reset EXACTLY like this. Hold the power button on the console for 8 seconds or until the power shuts down completely. Unplug the power cord from the back of the console for 5 minutes. Plug the power cord
    back in and restart the console.

    technique designed to prevent against OLED burn-in and other types of image retention.

    By the Xbox One screen dimmer, it will induce a screensaver of sorts, that not only defends against burn-in over longer periods of time but also "scrubs" image retention from the screen.
