    screen brightness on power up


    I have had my xbox since day one but starting yesterday everytime I power on my xbox one the screen is very dark (not blank), only solution is to power off and power back on which fixes the screen brightness

    anyone else having these issues?

    Note: i have done nothing to my setup

    Really Strange Problem No One Seems To Have!

    Well..something has fixed it: late Sunday afternoon the power went down while I was gone. When I returned I powered it up and the screen brightness was normal and still is. Idk how an outage would have cured the problem but it did.

    You either need to turn the brightness up on ur screen or the contrast down. Maybe get an eye exam while ur at it.

    I've encountered this issue as well lately. It is usually at initial start up and as you mentioned if you restart it corrects.

    Hey North Degree & djmonk3y54,

    What you can try to do is to clear the persistent storage: Go to settings---->Disc and Blue Ray---->Persistent storage, and clear the persistent storage 3 times.

    Then perform a hard reset on the console: Turn off your console, unplug all the cords connected to your console, place your finger on the power button for 30 seconds, plug everything in, then turn on your console.

    See if that helps any

    Hey Spryo,

    I didn't try your solution but before you posted I did try UNPLUGGING the xbox and so far that has worked for me.

    Hey! I've just started getting this issue too. Spyroman12, I've not tried your fix yet but I might do. Will clearing my persistent storage affect things like game save data or recordings? I want to try it but I don't want to lose any saved data or things
    I have in my upload suite. If it doesn't the ill give your fix a try and let you know how it goes.
