Screen auto-dimming after 10 minutes

Xb1 is about the last big device to get HBO Now, and it doesn't even work right. It also, completely locks up frequently, and the video quality is often awful (I never have such poor picture quality with Apple TV).

 

If the app isn't dimming after 10 minutes, it's freezing up and takes a couple minutes to unlock and reset. HBO needs to fix this app ASAP!

 

Im also having this problem, went and downloaded the app on the 360 only problem is the app for the 360 is complete ***, doesn't even automatically switch episodes.

Post here to see if Microsoft can make it a feature within the console alright. And since it's a Third Party application Microsoft cannot update the app adding this a feature built from within,

 

just ringing the bell - same issues happening here. i've contacted hbo and suggested they get their dev team on this asap. no use in paying for an app that is joyless to watch.

Drakula Reborn please create a new thread addressing the issue or wait for an update as i said in the other thread you posted in Microsoft cannot fix this. It's up to the Apps Dev for them to fix it. You can use the Uservoice link i posted earlier to request
the Auto dim feature to be disabled Through the Xbox settings but Microsoft cannot update the app.

I got the same message that they were going to update the app last week. I haven't seen an update yet.

 

Same thing happens to me, it's constant and highly annoying. I looked all over to adjust this setting, Netflix works fine. Why is this a problem?

same problem here. mine doesnt lock up though it just keeps playing dimmed

 

Having the same issue here. This is ruining my xbox one experience. Please patch this ASAP. This isn't even close to acceptable for what the one is advertised as.
