    Screen and audio replaced with intermittent static


    Every few seconds (maybe 5 seconds) everything turns to static for half a second and comes back. This occurs on the entire screen, no matter what is being displayed (TV, menus, games, etc), so it's not the source input. Somebody else posted a youtube video
    of this exact problem:

    A hard reset (unplugging and replugging) fixes it. Soft reset doesn't seem to (turn console off and on). else getting this or know how to fix it?

    I'm in the same boat as most everyone here... I have a Vizio M55-D0, with 2.0.13.13 firmware, and an automatically updated XBox One S. I've power cycled everything, swapped cables, disabled HDR, and still I get intermittent black screens, and occasional
    white static!!!

    This is more than a little frustrating.

    blu ray player stuttering

    Yup on my third xbox now after getting it replaced twice and stuttering still happens. Hopefully windows ten fixes all. On another note im now getting awful static sounds now and again from the audio on my tv grrrrrrr

    Watched your video, that's really weird.

    Turn your console completely off (hold the power button for five seconds until the power brick turns orange) and then disconnect and re-connect the HDMI cable to make sure it is seated properly.

    If it persists, try using a different HDMI cable if you have one available.

    You know the little short video that plays on an xbox one x before the xbox green screen logo? Thats when its static/snowy. Then it shows the normal xbox logo. When trying to use any video streaming app is when all i see is green screen with audio.

    I tried what you suggested, it went to 680x680 like you said but it only dispayed the static/snowy screen in lower quality and still experienced the green screen with audio only on netflix and hulu.

    It's a glitch in the recent Xbox One update. Just hold the X logo on the Xbox One for 10 seconds to force it to turn off. Then turn it back on. I believe the March 4 update will fix it.

    I have done this restart but seems to continually do it.

    Hopefully that will fix it then. I guess it is a compatibility issue with some TVs?

    Static on Xbox one home screen and menus

    I've had a similar issue to this, with the static screen, but it was also accompanied by clear signs of graphical corruption. I contacted Microsoft to have the unit replaced, the replacement does not have graphical corruptions, but the static issue remains
    persistent. Will try the troubleshooting here, and test on another TV. I also have a Panasonic TV, so wondering if it's limited to these.
