Scratches

This gamepad was from the box. He's new.

Could someone give me a link? I've already Googled it all, but still can't find it on the site of IW or Activision... :/

While I agree with SyntheticMortal's assertion that the most common cause of disc scratching while in a console is physically moving, bumping, or shaking the console while it is in operation, I do hesitate to recommend a disc repair service. Many game publishers
offer a disc exchange service, so I would encourage you to check out the website of each publisher for the games that are scratched and see if they have such a program.

The most common cause for this is movement of the console while the disc is spinning. To avoid this happening in future, turn off the console before moving your console.

In terms of the damaged discs, some games retailers provide a disc repair service for a small repair, which basically involves cutting a fine layer off the disc using specialised equipment. This should never be attempted at home. This may or may not work
depending on the depth of the scratch, and the only way to gauge the success of the repair is to pay for the repair when you get home.

Most places won't give a refund if the disc was not damaged on purpose.

Damage and scratches would not covered by the warranty if you have just purchased the controller brand new and it was like this when you opened it then you could try taking it back to where you purchased it from to see if they will exchange it for you.
