Scorpio Edition HDMI Issues...

How can I retain my Scorpio edition Xbox One X? Xbox will not return my Scorpio edition if it is not repairable. I completely understand they do not have these in stock to replace them but to offer me a replacement refurbish unit for my Scorpio Edition is
not right.

I know the HDMI is a quick fix but I fear they will keep my unit and replace it instead of sending it back!

Is this a common issue that HDMI ports go bad and should this not be a quick fix!

Can not be categorical about such a case. The repair does not seem to be important and should not lead to replacement by a standard Xbox One X console but I fully understand
your concern by myself owning a Scorpio edition.

There is no way to really answer that without know exactly what is causing the issues. Have you tried all the normal troubleshooting steps to see if it can be resolved?

I am looking for an answer as to if this is a quick fix issue; that way I will feel more comfortable in sending it in. I would love for a tech to say Yes that is a quick fix we can do!

Xbox store tech said it was the HDMI port. When you get a black screen with no signal message it is either the HDMI or Harddrive, but HDMI is the most common cause of this. The repair process said if not repairable you get a refurbished! I called Xbox and
they say that is the policy!

I Think HDMI is a quick fix according to what I found online but they do not guarantee me my unit back if not repairable!

If they can fix your issue, they will. They won't just keep the Scorpio because they can. They aren't like that.
