Scorpio edition console

I have a xbox one x scorpio edition I preorder at launch. Upon receiving I didnt open for a couple months. When I finally did open out of box system and controller would no stay linked. Tried battery packs regular batteries updating controller nothing works.
Controller doesnt shut of light stays on but shows on the console as disconnected. It may happen after a few minutes or seconds. I chose not to set up a replacement under warranty due to people online saying they were getting not scorpio equipment back and
as I didnt have much time for playing at the time and have 3 other xbox one consoles in the house I chose to hold off. I recently finally decided did get the console fixed under warranty after sending the unit back and forth twice its deemed to be a faulty
controller but even though in the paper work in the box only gives information saying 1 year warranty on defects with equipment. Customer service is saying only 3 months applies to the controller even though nowhere in the included paper work does anything
say anything other than 1 year and does differentiate between console or accessory. I get that o should have probably set everything up as soon as received but the fact of the matter is the controller has at most 1 hour of use and that would be no actually
gaming just linking and relinking and trying to fix. I have tried other controllers on the console as well and work fine as well as try the scorpio controller on another console and had the same issue. If anyone has a fix for the controller I'd be happy but
if not and I'm being denied a replacement controller for a faulty new one I seriously will consider not investing in the next generation of Microsoft. Just sad as I have 1 xbox one 1 xbox one elite 1 xbox one s and then the xbox one x scorpio and been am xbox
live member for more than 10 years I believe. Just sad and poor customer service

And please include in your warranty information within the console box that console is 1 year but controller is only 3 months.

Project Scorpio Edition consoles are limited edition consoles. I've heard some reports that people get Scorpio editions as repair replacements, but I am sure that the repair centers have a limited supply of these consoles
to give out.

If you purchased your console from a retailer, it is best to get in contact with them and see if they can immediately exchange your console for another Scorpio one.

They said it will be a 1x. This is why, for Scorpio owners, they should have some sort of plan in place.

Here is the info on getting the Controller serviced.

under your console.
Change the category to Accessories and then under select issue type select Controller. Then input your PID number from the controller and click create repair order.

Actually it is stated in the MS warranty that is one year for consoles and 90 days for accessories.

If they are within warranty, they replace them. Had that happen when one of my eelite controllers grips peeled of.

The length of warranty also changes, depending on the country you reside. UK it is 12 months from purchase on all new goods, like consoles, controllers etc.
