Scorpio controller is not compatible with the plug and play kit.

Recently found out after contacting support that the Scorpio controller does not charge / work wirelessly with the Plug and play kit.

I got disconnected when asked if this will be fixed in a firmware update.

It would have been nice to know that this was an known issue with the "world's most powerful console"

I would like to know if there is going to be an update that fixes this issue or if Scorpio owners will be sent a controller that works with the plug and play kit?

After spending a lot of money on this console I would rather not have to keep buying batteries.

Look forward to receiving a response.

    :)

Charging issues with controller after Feb controller update.

I have used both the Xbox Branded play and charge kit and two different off brand kits one is the Nyko an the other is a plug and play charge cable by Energizer both do the same as the Official Xbox Charge and Play kit... My controller also does not work
with my buddies cables or kits. Still works fine with my other non-updated controller, and they all work with my friends controller that is also not updated... I finally just bought the Energizer Charger stand... It works so that is fine with me... Still pretty
sure something about the controller update jacked my controller... Not saying it was the update, just think the process got *** somehow.

  4. Scorpio controller is not compatible with the plug and play kit.

It should work with the charging kit. If you notice, the controller’s battery port has those small terminals meant to make contact with the rechargeable battery. The controllers with the Scorpio and regular Xbox One X consoles are the exact same hardware
models as the ones that come with the Xbox One S.

If you bought the Plug & Play kit brand new, it will need some “calibrating”, meaning you may need to keep the controller plugged into USB until the battery actually charges. Keep it wired to the console overnight, or even for the entire day.

Hey, thanks for the reply. The battery pack is ok, it works with my other controller.

I spoke to Xbox support but they said it was an known issue that the battery pack doesn't work with the Scorpio edition controllers. I'm hoping there will be a firmware update that could fix it, but it's probably a hardware issue more than anything.

I just used regular copper top batteries for about 4 days, then when they went almost dead I installed my EBL brand 2800 mAh batteries right from the charger fully charged and within 30 minutes controller was disconnecting and I
could play. This is with the Project Scorpio. Must be the new xbox X needs more voltage than rechargeable can provide. Copper top volts was over 1.6, ebl2800 was 1.4 fully charged. with controller that came with Scorpio or my brand new elite controller.

Will the Xbox One Play & Charge Kit be compatible with the Xbox Series X?

Xbox One accessories and peripherals will be compatible with Xbox Series X. As to whether the rechargeable battery packs are compatible with an Xbox Series X controller, that has not yet been revealed at this time, to my knowledge. However, the new controller
will use USB-C for its charging port instead of the Play & Charge Kit's Micro-USB plug.

    Controllers won't connect

Do you have an plug and play kit? Because when you use the plug and play kit it will sync the controller up. If that doesn't work it does sound like a problem on the console.
