Scorpio and 4k tv

    i was wondering will the scorpio work well with a 4k uhd TV or does it have to be her?

    In answer to original post, Scorpio is 4k, so basically you need a 4k tv.

    A huge benefit is also bluray will be 4k also. I accidenty purchased Deadpool on blu4k, so the news of scorpio was a relief.

    4K TV or 4K Monitor?

    Hi Kristall, I think scorpio work with a 4k monitor, But In the event that purchasing a 4k monitor for Scorpio, ensure you get FreeSync over HDMI and NOT over Display Port to exploit it.

    But some gamers prefer 4k tv to play games rather than 4k monitors like the one I have LG OLED55C7P. I like it because it has good picture quality and many other smart features in it. This is also evident from the many good reviews from this TV, one of which

    HDR is optional, not needed per se.

    Some kind of autosense is going on if monitor is capable of this or that, among other things 24 Hz etc.

    4k TV, Buy Now or Wait for Scorpio

    I plan on waiting until Scorpio.

    The $1,000+ 4K TVs now will cost half that by the time Scorpio comes out.

    Are you thinking of getting Xbox Scorpio as soon as it comes out late this year? Why?

    I'll be getting Scorpio on day one since I can then put my 4K tv to good use. Hopefully there will be VR on the Scorpio shortly as well. If not, no big deal.
