SCARFACE NOT working on Xboxes with Philips dvd drive !

Hi, I must inform Microsoft about this serious problem of incompatibility between

game Scarface(2006) and og Xboxes(2004)(with Philips Dvd drive)

Game was brand new and my consoles perfectly working

.. Oddly enough the game works correctly on Xbox360 but I bought it for original XBox !

Xbox DVD Drive Replacement

Hi Guys,

My friend gave me his old Xbox, he accidently tripped over it one day and he gave it to me since his warranty is now expired

and now, the DVD Drive will NOT read any discs at all. I did a tiny bit of research and from what I found, Microsoft uses

various different DVD Drive vendors for different Xbox releases. The Xbox came with a Philips Lite On DVD Drive. Now, my

question is: Can I buy a replacement Xbox 360 DVD Drive but from a different vendor, such as Samsung or Hitachi and will it

be compatible? Due to the fact that the Xbox is limited on drivers and firmware compatibility or else I'd just buy an Asus

DVD Drive for $15 from Newegg and use that . With all this being said, am I just better off replacing the Drive or buying the USB HDDVD Drive for

Xbox 360?

Original Xbox help needed in a dvd replacement

My original Xbox has had a lot of reading problems for some time and have been looking around to find a replacement. Yet I can barley find anything. Does anyone know where I can get a original Xbox Philips dvd drive VAD6011/21 OR BETTER?!

Toshiba was the company behind HD DVD. Sony, Pioneer and i believe Philips joined forces for the Blue Ray format.

finding a Xbox 360 hard drive with the backwards compatibility sector uncorrupted is nearly impossible. You should acquire an original Xbox if this is important to you

Thanks for the speedy reply Janet, but what does an original hard drive mean?

Ill obviously need to buy it used, but I assume the hard drive can be formatted?

Also, if Xbox 360 support content is no longer being maintained, does that mean there will no longer be downloadable content for original games?

Thanks for all of that - I'll assume the questions will help anyone in the future wanting to play original Xbox games on the 360.

Yay I have the Xbox 1 Day One Edition with Kinect I went to the midnight release. But I haven't had any serious issues with the disc drive. It's a Philips one they put in the console. Sometimes it makes a sort of scraping noise but doesn't damage my discs,
and says it cant read the game/DVD disc. I just eject it and re-insert it and that fixes it.

What makes you certain that the internal hard drive in your Xbox 360 E is official? In the Xbox 360 settings screen, it may say 'Microsoft' there, but all internal drives say this, including the fake drives.

If you've bought this console recently second hand, it may have had the hard drive replaced. If the drive was replaced, it is almost certainly not going to be official.
