Scammers

I was contacted today by someone claiming to be from Microsoft via 3 different gamer tags, they ask to speak to an adult to verify your account.

I have checked with Microsoft directly and this is a scam so please beaware of the following gamer tags

All have been reported to Microsoft they are also on Halo Reach & Halo 4

We have been told that no one will contact you via your XBox Live account they will call or email you, if anyone has accepted frienod requests from these gamers you would be wise to change your account passcode.

You are not allowed to call out gamer-tags on the Xbox.com forums.

You will have to file a complaint via your console & it will be investigated by the

Scammers?

Hello I am dealing with I believe are scammers, or something. Because I have 2 messages in my Xbox inbox about 2 people telling me to go to a Website called
[Mod Removed] The gamertags of the 2 people are [Mod Removed]
I didnt know if it was against the rules to do something lie this so I am posting it on the forum and checking to see if its against the rules.

 

Its sad that people do this stuff on their free time thinking they are funny....

hey bro. I need you to download hellfire on your phone or tablet through play store and when it asks you for a username at the end of the tutorial put bc10401 and whatever password you want

 

[mod removed] tried scamming my son by offering to trade his 99 Golden Ticket Odell Beckham Jr for three of my son's high 90s players in Madden 15. Basically, it's a bait and switch: trade a high 90s player for one of his low cards, then
trade a second high 90s player for another low card, with the promise that he would then trade his Beckham Jr card for a third and final high 90s card. My son told him that the deal wasn't good for him and that he should just sell it for 1.1 Million, but he
said he likes the fun of trading more than buying. My son said he would make the trade but required to get the Beckham Jr card first to avoid being scammed. Of course
[mod removed] declined. I then went online and found dozens of posts where
[mod removed] has scammed people and stolen money from them. 1. Why is this person allowed to still have an active account? 2. Why doesn't XBOX create a secure system for trades so scammers don't have free access to scam children (and adults)?
It shouldn't be too hard to create a lock box trading system that ensures everyone gets what they bargained for.

 

i agree some guy i was trying to trade with took my 2 out of 3 cards and didnt send his its insane how bad xbox is at dealing with this its been 1 week already and nothing from ea xbox needs a better system to report scammers

I should also point out to the previous posters in this thread, it is against forum rules to "name & shame".

 

Correct, I've removed the names from the forum and doesn't mean they're not scamming but reporting them publicly here isn't allowed, basically because they could potentially just come here and say untrue things like you guys scammed them. Then it's a big
he said she said and flame war and so on.

You can post the tactics the used by people to scam without naming them to warn the community and hopefully educate the developers of the game to the exploits within their games. If you want to report someone for playing unfairly or being deceptive you
