Scammed

I was playing Fortnite and gamer tag [Mod Removed] asked to do an inventory trade. We both dropped our weapons and he kicked me out of the game.

this guy scammed me.his WhiteOutv.he scammed me and he's being cocky.pls deal with him.

 

If you haven't done so already, you would want to file a complaint on him via the console in order for the enforcement team to investigate him. Calling out other gamers is not allowed on the forums.

never do these kind of trades in someone's home base. Try doing these things in a normal mission were someone can't be kicked.

 

You will have to chalk this up as a learning experience. You can also report the player for misconduct (which you should for this sort of behavior), but you're not going to get your items back.

 

HI Cityshooter066, like the other ambassadors have been saying there isn't much to do besides report the player. Since Fortnite doesn't have a formal trading system like Rocket League but relies on player honestly scams happen daily from what I've seen in
global chat. Best way I can say to avoid this is to make sure you're party leader when trading. From when I did participate in trades in Save the World this can keep them from kicking you (if it's their home base they can still end match and basically work
the same as kicking you), I always made sure and for no excuse give it up till I was done trading. Other then that i'd say voice chat or text chat in missions and make friends and only trade with those you trust until fortnite releases a formal version of
trading or go for a grind and earn materials and watch YouTube tutorials on where to find materials needed for crafting. (what I personally ended up doing)

If this happens to you again then i'd say try and capture the moment (double tap home button on controller and hit X) and that may help with reporting them, may work better with Dev's then xbox though.
