    My account which I have had since at least 2010 has been hacked/scammed. My mothers email has been attached to the account since that time. A man (unknown) emailed my mother pretending to be support\yahoo asking for the security code that was sent from him trying to access the account. From there he messaged her after she sent the code to him saying she had been scammed along with screenshots of my Xbox account in his hands. He has since asked for money for the account back and has changed the email and password of the account so I can no longer get the account back through my emails. I have spent well over $5,000 and well over 10 years with Microsoft and its Xbox subscription service. I would GREATLY like to recover this account anyway possible. I have created a new Microsoft account since then. Surprisingly I have not been kicked off or signed out of the account on my actual Xbox one X as this all went down as I was playing. The scammer (unknown) has only seemed to have changed the email and the passwords. Even still I have no way of getting into that account if I was to be signed out.

    Yes it is very strange. I am still signed in on the console but I cannot access the payment methods or subscriptions do to sensitive information and it asks for a password for the account which is now somehow associated with his email and he changed the password.

    Make sure you cancel any card payment method attached to your account ask bank for new card report old card to bank to avoid cost to you my friend
