So I purchased the day one edition xbox one, which had the special day one edition stamped controller with it. After a month of regualr use, the left pumper on the controller just stopped working, no mis use or damage aside from wear and tear. I submit a
repair order and senf the controller via UPS to the repair facility following all of Microsoft's instructions. That was January 30. I searched the status today and see that my order had been cancelled, and still no day one edition controller returned to me.
I contacted support this morning, only to find out that my controller had likely been lost at the repair facility, and that i would need to make another repair order and send the shipping number I had with my original controller that i sent. But like most
people, once i saw that my controller had been confimred delivery at the facility, i threw away the shipping number invoice not thinking i would need it almost 2 months later. So here i am, *** by Microsoft without my controller. That what you get for being
a loyal Xbox guy since 2001, go out and drop 500 day one only to get a broken controller that i payed almost 20 dollars in UPS shipping just to have sent off to Microsoft and never seen again.

    :)

17/01/2012 I initially bought my 12 month XBL membership for £39.99 as usual and was charged and everything was fine. Recently, I lost my credit card and had to get it cancelled so Microsoft cancelled my live even though they had already received a payment?
I accepted this and then I was looking into buying live back with my new card and it was saying that I needed to transfer the £39.99 onto the old card to recover the costs, so I assumed that this would re-activate the 6 months of my 12 months I initially bought,
but I have payed that extra 39 and still I have not been given any XBL. So effectively I have payed £80 pounds for some 6 months of live, and I am still stuck without XBL?

    what can i do?

    thanks!

While sorry to hear about your misfortune, I believe most people hold on to important documents until such time as whatever they are regarding is closed.

    Peace, J.R.

"You know, the teacher scammed me yesterday. We haven't used our workbooks for a month now and she asked me to take it out for class. I already threw it away, I mean I didn't expect us to need to use it after I found out we'd not used it for a month!"

This is what you sound like.

So your lack of understanding business transactions and how they work and you throwing away important paperwork for a return that was not yet completed is Microsoft's fault how somehow?

  10. While you have my sympathies for the misfortune, I would NEVER advise throwing out paperwork like that. Never. Mine all gets filed away for emergency reference. You never know when problems will arise. Hope for the best, plan for the worst.

Example- I wanted to do a Call of Duty upgrade to Xbox One back in November, and GAME were saying trading in the Xbox 360 version would secure me £40 off. Too good to be true so I had a convo with an online GAME rep, and printed it. Sure enough, when I went
to GAME they tried to claim all sorts of conditions that were never mentioned before, the biggest one being that I had to order my Xbox One through GAME, but because I had the emails from my convo with the rep, I got what I wanted.

Always document everything and keep it for this very reason. I actually called MS's bluff and I now have 2 dayone controllers ( one slightly squeaky) check my post here for what I did as I wasn't paying for the shipping of a faulty controller.

My X1 controller was squeaky the left bind would move around lack of quality control and the low quality of plastic really ruin the "$500" feel.

When I had to send my Kinect back I was sent everything via email so could just print documents off again. Also why did you have to pay? I had to send my Kinect to Aussie from NZ via UPS and it was free??

@blitz apparently MS policy now after they told me the opposite is not to provide a postage paid docket to cover the cost of sending it. This was 3 weeks of phone arguments with them. I remember them providing postage paid emails when sending in consoles
and accessories on the 360. I looked up my local laws and reported them. And it seems I was right. Which is why they didn't ask me to send in the faulty one and just sent a new one.
