Thank you for sharing your concern here in Community Forum and we hope that all is well.

It appears that you are having issue with the notification when your friends are online. Let us check on what is causing the issue and rest assured that we are going to perform some steps to help resolve in a timely manner.

There are several ways to see what your friends are up to on Xbox. To check out what everyone is doing:

• Press the Xbox button to open the guide.
  
• Select Home, and then go to Friends & Community Updates. Your friends’ recent activity shows up here:
  

Note: If you can’t locate Friends & Community Updates, scroll down to Add more on the Home screen and select the Friends & Community Updates tile. (You may need to select See all suggestions.) Select the Menu button, and then select Add to Home.

To narrow it down:

• Press the Xbox button to open the guide, and then select People. You’ll see which friends are online and how many of them are currently in a game.
  
• Select the list of who’s online to see what they’re doing, such as playing a game or watching Netflix.
  
• Select the list of friends in games to see what game they’re playing and on what platform: console, PC, or mobile device.
  

Note: The platform icons only appear for the platforms you’re not currently viewing the friends list on.

Im having the same issue to I am on youtube but it always says im on the home page when I am actually on youtube I hope this gets sorted out asap

Yes is the same as yours when I'm on YouTube or other app or so it says I'm in home but as soon as I turn cod on it comes up it's starting to irritate me lol how can I change this so it says I'm in YouTube.

Temporary fix =

Go to dashboard.

Scroll from the "home" panel to the "video" panel.

Look for flashy advertisement in one of those green boxes that says "youtube." or for that matter, any ad or link that will direct you to a youtube channel. in this case, there should be one near the bottom right of the panel that says "youtube." No there
is no youtube logo on this.

select this and it will bring you into youtube and directly to the advertised channel.

From here press Y and search away.

Currently there is a bug on the home page of the youtube app which causes the 4004 error. so as long as you avoid that page (this means not press X at all or not pressing B too many times) you wont get the 4004.

This DOES work. Im staring at the search screen right now. tested videos, they do work.
