Saying I'm offline to friends when profile is set to online

Ever since I switched to the Preview Program I'm having trouble with my friends list. I keep showing as "offline" but I have my profile set to online. I keep trying to find where on xbox.com to switch it as I read through Googling that it could be a solution
but I can't find it.

Any help is greatly appreciated!

Always appearing offline

No, I realise that. It's just when I'm online, my friends look at my profile and it says offline, even though I'm set to appear online.

Showing as Offline

Hi there hoping someone can help. I'm showing offline on Xbox live when my friends look for me (so they never know when I'm on). My profile is set to appear online and my privacy settings are set to everyone. I have no issues playing online or with any
conectivity, I've even been able to join party's/games with them but still I show as offline to them when they look at their friends list/my profile. Any suggestions?

Okay so at this time Xbox live was limited for social/gaming which can make friends list show up as offline even though there online. To change your online/offline theirs a few simple steps listed here:

1. Goto friends page

2. Click my profile

3. The top option will say Appearing online (Or offline)

4. Click appear online

5. Reset your console

IF that doesn't work please post back and ill assist you with some other options!

Hello!

This is the step I'm having issues with! When I go to Friends page, I do not have an option to click on my profile.

I can go to settings, and make sure that way that it says that I am online (which it does) but I am still offline to any of my friends.

Weird thing is that my husband's Xbox (we're obviously on the same network) will show up as online but if I try to sign in through his Xbox downstairs it says that I'm offline again. Even though everything that I can see is set to appear online. So confused!

I also am part of the preview program for the new Dash. And am wondering if this is a bug with it. However I'm the only one of my friends who have it that this is doing it to.

Im having the same issue. My friends online were changed to offline and even the ones who were already offline wont say when they were last on it only says offline. My online status says im offline to everyone but my privacy settings are open and my settings
are set to online. This happened early this morning when i accepted a friend request and ever since i have been unable to see my friends or appear online.

Please, reset your console.

You can follow these steps:

Press the Xbox button to open the guide.

Select Profile & system > Settings > System > Console info.

Select Reset console.

Select Reset and keep my games & apps.
