XCOM 2 Delayed on PS4 and Xbox One

XCOM 2 is going to release on consoles a little later than originally planned. The strategy game's original release date
for PS4 and Xbox One was pegged for September 6, but it's now been
delayed by three weeks.

Take-Two president Karl Slatoff made the announcement as part of the
company's quarterly earnings call. He said that the three-week delay was made in order to "ensure the game is fully polished at launch and meets the team's high standards." He added that 2K and Firaxis Games will continue to support the PC version
with free and paid DLC after XCOM 2's console launch.

XCOM 2's new PS4 and Xbox One release date is September 27 in North America. It releases internationally on September 30. The console versions offer a
number of improvements and new features that weren't present when the game launched on PC. Mod support for consoles has not been announced.

Life is Strange

It was posted yesterday that Episode 2 was delayed.

It has been updated to say it "should" still release in March but it'll just be a little late.

XCOM 2 Next week! Anyone picking it up?

Well unless it's been delayed but on Xbox Store it still says next week.

I loved the XCOM games up to yet and preordered this as soon as it was available to do so.

Anyone else grabbing it?

Well at least they have put it out there that it isn't ready yet? Love the XCOM games so cant wait to play through this again!

Unfortunately the FPS XCOM your talking about as not been scarped, it's been delayed and is due to release mid 2013, it's being developed by 2K Marina (Same team that made Bioshock 2).

XCOM: Enemy Unknown is being developed by Firaxis Games, which is the same company that took over Civilization after Mircopose went under, so they have a ton of experience with turn based strategy games and probably the best suited studio for this project.

I'm very excited to see one of my best loved games from my childhood being re imagined, and I for one can't.

Will this game be better then the 1992 original??? NO, it most likely wont come close, but who cares it's XCOM and I'm going to enjoy the hell out of it.

I think you're wrong, the game on the microsoft store says it's a standalone expansion so I'm guessing it doesn't require the base game, also unlike the war of the chosen ones the xcom 2 dlc on the store doesn't say that you need another game to play it.
