Saving Xbox 360 games on External Hard Drive than saving them on Cloud Saved.

Beside Cloud Saves, It is possible to save Xbox 360 Save games to External Hard Drive? I have Banjo Kazooie Nuts n Bolts on Rare Replay and I don't want to use cloud saved?

Saving Xbox 360 games on my Xbox One

I just got a Xbox one, I was playing Mass Effect and can't save my progress to my internl hard drive. It will only let me save to the cloud ( I do not like this!) I just bought an external hard drive. can I save my games to that. If so how?

Question regarding cloud saves on XBOX ONE.

I am lost as to how the Cloud saving works. I know it saves automatically to the Cloud and I can see my game saves there, but I do not understand how to back them up. So when I finish a game or backburn it, can I save it manually to the Hard Drive? That way if I ever go Silver I can still access my game save offline? Or for example I move and I am going to be offline for two weeks until my new service gets hooked up, I can still access my saves offline. Hopefully I explained it well enough.Click to expand...

Games automatically save to the cloud and the hard drive. There's no need to manually save it to the hard drive.

Cloud storage is available to Silver members as well, so you don't have to worry about going Silver.

If you game offline, your saves will automatically store on your hard drive. Once you connect to Xbox Live again, your saves will automatically sync with the cloud.

So in your scenario... If you move and play offline, your games will save on the hard drive. Once you connect your internet again, Xbox Live will automatically detect the new saves on your hard drive and store it in the cloud as well.

Hey there, Tomb! The game saves should react the same as the Xbox One game saves. There will be a cloud save as well as a local save. The local save generally saves where you installed the game. If you have the game installed on an external drive, it should
be saving the game there, too.

If the saves were not uploaded to the cloud when playing them on the 360 then they were saved to the local Hard drive on the 360.

In order to get them to the cloud you would have to have access to that old 360 and the saves would still have to be on the hard drive in order to upload them to the cloud to play them on the One.

Hello Spoezy,

We understand that you're inquiring about the cloud saves feature on an Xbox 360 console.

Specifically, this is in regards to transferring or about how to transfer saved game data that is currently on an external hard drive to the cloud storage.

This unfortunately, cannot be performed as the cloud saves are an automatic save created from the point that you first start the game while also being connected to the internet and having an Xbox Live membership.

We would suggest to attempt having these two items present when launching the game, get to a fair checkpoint, and quit the game while saving to the external hard drive.

Remove the external memory from the console and start the game once again to attempt forcing the recognition of the cloud save.

Try this and let us know if this works.
