Saving transfer

Okay here's my problem.

• Puts dark souls saves on USB flash drive.
• Happily walks to xbox one.
• Puts in flash drive and plays dark souls.
• USB is not showing up when choosing device.
• Gets *** and googles it.
• Finds out you may or may not be able to that way.

Can anyone clarify if I can put my game saves onto the xbox one via USB?

Also what's this crappy this sorta crappy excuse for a backwards compatibility

wouldn't it have made more sense if you were to just make xbox 360 disc's

playable on the xbox one? That would be much better and make it more worth buying.

That kinda makes no sense why you would do the opposite of that?

Also on the xbox360 who thought it was a good idea for you to not share games

unless it was bought on the same console it was originally bought from!

And does that person have a job still!?! I hope not...

I want to play murder miners and I can't because it was bought on another console with someone my friends account,

so I have to sign into them every time then quickly sign out... WHY?!?!

Horzion 3 hacked already... whoo hoo cross play right?

Crossplay is not an issue, but play anywhere potentially is. On 360 many of the CoD/GTA hacks were profile/saved file based. What this means was a player would transfer their save to the PC (using USB/transfer cable) and modify the files. A modified console was not required.

It is my understanding that it's not possible on XB1 yet, but with Play Anywhere's save transfer, it could be. So in theory someone could start a game on PC, mod their save file to give all perks, cars, etc. then transfer that back to their Xbox. I would assume that at some point MS will have some sort of save file verification when transferring save files from PC to Xbox and vice versa.

IMO, I still think Cloud saving make it much easier to transfer content.

No, you cannot move saves from 360 to the One via a USB. All saves that you wish to transfer from a 360 title to a backwards compatible Xbox One title must be done through the Cloud service. In regards to your beliefs about sharing games, the way you describe
it constitutes marketplace fraud seeing as one person bought it and gave you account details to log in and play. Please remember that each game has licensing. That licensing is given to a consumer when they purchase a game. If you exchange accounts with another
person in order for you to bypass having to buy the game on your account, you are in fact cheating the system and following through on a bannable offense.

@ TheyCallMeBlitz But my friends and I all use the same console and then bought another after the first one our white one stopped playing discs entirely and I am not trying to bypass anything, thanks for clearing things up.
