    Hi ,

    Just wanted to ask if its possible to save game data elsewhere when your xbox one is offline in preparation for resetting it.

    I'm aware that the cloud is the system used to save game data but Its not favourable to access the internet due to ;

    -My eldest son recently got a new xbox x and left his old xbox one with us. He moved his account data and such to his new xbox.

    however he gifted to our youngest daughter and she was able to play some of his games because she was offline.

    However we were now thinking of resetting it and making a new account to allow for new games but shes scared of losing her save data.

    Is there anyway to have the past game data saved like on the hdd so it can be used after the reset?

    reset xbox question

    Saved data is different from games. If you want to keep your installations to not lose time installing them again yes if they are in the external HDD,
    but remember to unplug the drive before reset the console or it will delete all.

    With the other site, saved data is all saved in the cloud, so after you reset the console, when you start the game will download all saved data for that game

    I understand your concern about losing your data and settings. However, if you have tried everything else and the problem persists, a full factory reset may be the only solution.

    Before performing a full factory reset, be sure to back up your important data. You can back up your data as follows:

    Games and apps: You can connect an external drive to your Xbox and copy games and apps to the external drive.

    Saved data: You can copy saved data to the cloud or to an external drive.

    Settings: You can save your Xbox settings to an external drive.

    If you perform a full factory reset and the problem persists, you can contact Activision support for help.

    Hello Maximus, if you remove the HDD before doing the factory reset the data should remain

    But I recommend to backup always your profile or saved data to a USB drive if it's possible
