Saves have disappeared is there any way to get them back?

Xbox support please help i was reading a support/troubleshooting forum and it told me to do this:-

Clear your local saved games and try reinstalling the game

Remove the disc from your console.

Press the Xbox button to open the guide.

Select System > Settings > System > and then Storage.

Select Clear local saved games.

Note Selecting this option will not delete any games or progress you have saved in the Xbox Live cloud. It will only clear data you have saved locally.

Select Yes to confirm.

Once your console restarts, try installing the game again.

If this solution doesn’t work, try the next solution.

So i did this now all my saves are gone after doing this how can i get them back???

Conversations have a limited shelf life and once they have disappeared there is no way to get them back.

Did you attempt to start a new game at any point? All saves are stored both on your console and the Cloud so the only way those files would have disappeared would be if you either started a new game or if you had deleted all saves from everywhere when you
deleted the game the first time.

If this is the case then Pro is correct and there is no way to recover them.

 

Unless you had the saves backed up somewhere, there is no way to recover them. If you played online, the saves from the cloud should automatically resync as soon as you start the game.

the annoying thing is the forum never said anything about backing saves up

 

just tried going on gta online but i have to start again???

 

i guess im selling my xbox then i aint starting again its **** ****
