Savegames not synchronized beween cloud game and installed one?

Hi,

A few months ago I subscribed to Xbox Game Pass Ultimate and played different games with it, almost all of which on cloud.

Today I subscribed with the same account to PC Game Pass (so no cloud gaming) and installed a game I've enjoyed from my Pass Ultimate experience (Neon Abyss, but I suppose that's a common situation), but my savegames for which I've spent so many hours were not there.

My question: is there a possibility to use my savegames or these are available only for the cloud version of the game and I have to start over again?

Playing on the cloud you're actually playing the console version of games so when you're playing on the PC you're technically playing a different version of the game. Since that game does not support cross saves, you would not be able to use the same save on both.

If the game you deleted was a Xbox One game, then your savegame data should be safely stored online in the Xbox Cloud, unless you chose to delete the savegame data from "all" consoles.

If you only deleted the local savegame storage, simply launch the game (after installing it, if necessary), and then let the console synchronize your savegame from the cloud.

If there is a conflict about the local savegame and cloud savegame, make sure to choose the cloud version in the confirmation dialogue.

It depends on how you lost your savegame.

If the save was already synchronized to the cloud in it's "lost" state, then there is nothing you can do to bring it back.

If however the local copy of your save was erased while the console was offline, you can follow the instructions of XBF Leonzo G, and clear the local copy with the empty save.

Then when you start the game again, the console will try to download the last synchronized savegame from the cloud.

If the emptied savegame was not yet uploaded, this will then download your last intact savegame, so do NOT abort the download.

First, try to hold the power button on the console for about 10 seconds, and then restart the console.

If the game still fails to load completely, go to My Games and Apps, find the Fortnite tile, and press the menu button on the controller (the small button with three lines to the right of the Xbox button) and manage the game installation

In the game management screen, delete the LOCAL COPY of the savegame for Fortnite. DO NOT delete the savegame from "all consoles" in the cloud storage!!!

Then try to start the game again. The console will synchronize the savegame from the cloud. DO NOT ABORT that synchronization.

If the game still fails to load, go to the game management menu again, and uninstall Fortnite completely.

Re-Download the game and if necessary let it update again.
