    Saved games are from an "unknown profile."


    First: this isn't my account, yes I am aware that it's offensive (sorry), report away.

    I deleted my suspended profile on accident and can't redownload it since it's suspended. I was trying to move my saves from said suspended account from one hard drive to another hard drive but they come up as "unknown profile" and won't let me move them.
    Once the suspension is up and I can redownload the suspended profile, will it reregister the "unknown profiles" to the profile they belong to and let me move them?

    Saved games are from an "unknown profile."

    If the suspension is only short then yes, the saves will be linked to them when you can download it again.

    However, if the suspension is permanent you will not be able to recover the saves or redownload the profile.

    You won't be able to access saved games and or content purchased on that suspended account until the suspension is up.

    The Halo data is saved on the game servers

    Try clearing your cache and redownload your profile

    If that doesn't work

    Try deleting the unknown profile (not the games linked to it , just the unknown profile itself)

    And redownload it again

    The update corrupted my gamer profile. I deleted the profile and re-downloaded it from live - now none of my save games are accessible. It says they are from an unknown profile. There goes my Skyrim, Battlefield, and Arkham City progress.

    Everything was fine until the update :(

    Hello Thou TryHard, whenever you move a profile off a hard drive the save data doesnt know who it belongs too, so thats why its coming up as unknown profile. If you still have the original profile, you need to sign in with that profile and all the unknown
    profile data will recognize that profile. It has to be that profile though and it has to be signed in and then you can move the game save data.
