Saved game data wiped during transfer.

Okay, I'm really p***ed off about what has just happened, so I apologize if I sound a little harsh.

Under an hour ago, I tried to copy my DARK SOULS save data from my Xbox 360 over to my Xbox One, this game IS compatible with Xbox One. Anyways, I went to my storage settings, and copied the save data to my Xbox One like I said, but after about five seconds
it came up with an error message saying that it can't transfer the data to the profile. I was a bit bummed by this, but when I went to re-launch DARK SOULS, all of my character were gone. There was no 'load game' option, or 'continue' option, just 'new game'.
I ought I may have clicked on the wrong storage device, so I re-launched it and paid attention to the one I clicked on, but when the title screen appeared, there was still no 'load game' option.

I went back to the storage settings to see if anything went wrong, and my worst fear was confirmed, there was no data at all for DARK SOULS.

I frantically looked around the storage devices to see if it got put somewhere else, I even went through all of the storage on my Xbox One, but it was no-where to be found.

I would really like some answers for this, I've put in more than 1'000 hours into DARK SOULS from the day it came out, to now, I REALLY don't want this to be the end of it all.

Sorry,afraid not.

All save data is tied to the account that made the save & can't be moved between accounts.

My husband and I are unfortunately separating. I've played all my games under his gamertag to get him achievements, since they weren't a big deal to me. I have well over 200+ hours logged into Skyrim on his account and it's killing me about having to start
all over when I have such good gear and so much time invested! It's the top game I play on Xbox one. Is there any way I can transfer just this game data from his tag to mine? Please help!

Just to know, how did you copy your saves from your 360 to your One?

Because to do so you logically just have to store your backward compatible games save in the cloud.

 

I did try to transfer it to the cloud, but the final destination was my Xbox One.

So I didn't do it directly from my 360 to my One.

 

How were you doing it then? You would have had to transfer the save to the cloud while on your 360.

 

I WAS on my Xbox 360. I went to the storage settings, hit the 'copy' button, and copied it to the cloud.

Is this simple enough for you people?

 

Sorry, the way you explained it before you said you did not do it directly from your 360. It made it sound like you did something else.

As long as you chose to copy the save, then you should have the original save on your original storage device. However, if something did happen to erase your file, unless it was backed up somewhere else, there is no way to get it back.
