save transfers though the cloud

I just think its an important topic to cover. i'm hoping that we are able to use our witcher 2 saves transfer them to witcher 3 through the cloud or external storage device. xbox should somehow make this work or the games like witcher3 or next mass effect
won't even be worth buying on the console.

Hi, you should be able to transfer your saved games to the cloud and then transfer them from the cloud onto your new Xbox. But this might require a license transfer from one Xbox to the other. Below are some guide to help you.

So...do I really need to set up my 360 to get backwards comp games?!

The only thing you need the 360 for is to transfer save files to the cloud.

 

why do you need your witcher 2 save for witcher 3 its a brand new game

 

it's the same idea is mass effect. the wittcher2 is a game where you chose your own path it has Sixteen endings. so having the decisions you made and all your gold and items imported to the witcher3 makes a huge gameplay difference.

 

I thought they stated that the next mass effect will have nothing to do with the previous thus making your saves pointless. I'm not positive though

 

ya im not positive about mass effect but it would still be nice to import saves for the witcher

 

Why is it so important? If you dont need to have played the previous games to understand Wild Hunt it would make save transfers kind of pointless.

 

With Mass Effect, it wasn't that hard because developers could just have their new game read the saves that were on your HDD. However with The Witcher 2 & 3, you're talking about cross-platform data that may not be compatible (& it would definitely have
to use the cloud). As far along as the game's development is by now, unless they've already planned on doing so early on, I personally don't think it'll happen.
