    Save synching problem


    was playing a game offline, then when i went back online cloud save synching replaced my new save from the console with my older save from the cloud, meaning that all the proggress is had made is gone. There used to be a choice of which save to use, instead
    of automiticaly assuming which is the correct save.

    when it said it was synching i asumed that it was uploading the new save from the console.

    Yeah, I live in a two Xbox house, only they're independent of each other. Still, I can sign in on the other one and all will be well. Save data is synched with your XBL profile.

    Forza horizon 2 save gone.

    Hi, lego201, I'm sorry to say that there is no way to get the data back, the game has now overwritten the save data you already had. Sometimes the synching to the cloud doesn't work straightaway, which is probably why you couldn't download the original
    save to begin with.

    Save synching problem

    Insyicing means the cloud copy is updateing and not the console copy of the save. It happen to me. And I never loss my spot of the game.

    Can't believe stupid things like this happen. I'm guessing it's left over stuff from them reversing the always on policy.

    The console does not have an internal battery that keeps time.

    It requires the internet to keep the correct time.

    If the console gets disconnected from the power the time will reset to 5PM 25th May 2013.

    Normally the time is automatically corrected when the console connects to Live but if you are offline the time will stay reset.

    All offline saves will have this time which means that when you reconnect to the internet the saves on the console will appear to be over a year older than the ones in the cloud and will get overwritten.

    When playing offline it is essential you make sure the system time and date is correct otherwise your saves will get overwritten by the cloud.

    What good is cloud based saves if it doesn't work ???

    Thanks for the reply. Xbox has told that they do have known issues with Starfield and their cloud based save system. I have synched the game repeatedly and have performed local saves and the game even shows when it's auto saving. But if for some reason the game gets "out of cloud synch" all of these saves, local or auto, are lost because the game actually didn't save because of the cloud synch issue

    You say the account from your son is synched perfect. Could it be, that your missing game synch was not on your account? If you played with your account online and had the saves in the cloud this always would synch with a new install of any game.
