Were your old saves on a console that's banned from Xbox Live? Non-banned consoles will see save files updated on banned consoles as "corrupt".

My HDD and account in a banned console

A banned console corrupts data written to devices connected to it. So if you do game on this banned console, your profile and saves wont work on your 'clean' console.

You'd have to recover your profile which means you'd lose any earned achievements and you'd have to start the game again because your saves would still be corrupt.

Depends on the game.

Some games require an online connection. If that's the case, you're out of luck.

Is one of the consoles banned from Xbox Live? You can't move profiles or saved games from a banned console to a non-banned one; they'll show as corrupt.

I think you can move saved games if they haven't been updated since the console ban, meaning if you haven't launched/ played the game on the banned console since the ban.

Any saved game files updated on the banned console since the ban will show as "corrupt" on a non-banned console; files you haven't used since the ban might be safe. So, I'd recommend getting the HDD off the banned console as soon as you can.
