    Save game lost after transfer from cloud to hard drive


    Not sure who I should contact or what to do. I was transferring a game save from cloud to my xbox hard drive, so I could play it offline - and the save game has disappeared, I've now lost my 40hrs of gameplay save game and I was so close to the end!
    I'm devastated. Any ideas? Tips?

    2 quick questions about X360 and XB1 compatibility

    Ok so I want to say first that I could be wrong on this im not 100% sure because Ive never transferred a save file but from how it works on the XB1 You can save on your hard drive at any time. Transferring save files over which you asked about I believe can only be done from cloud saves. So once the saves are transferred the one time you could save them to the hard drive after if you prefer.

    Was this on an xbox one? If so, you can contavt support and they can reset your cloud so you can try to download the save file again, if it was on a 360 I belive we can't do it, but if it is on a one I can tell you It can be reset. Either way, you should
    contact support to see if there is a chance it can be done.

    indeed it's on 360. support also seems to be closed or broken links, and I can't find the Australian support number to give them a call.

    I managed to get through, thanks for your help. you're correct, they don't have backups of anything other than forza and titanfall at the moment - so when it's gone, it's gone for good.

    Sorry about that man, There are glitches in every system and it just so happened that it happened to you, keep your chin up, remember you now have a fresh start and it may take you days to get back to where you were, but at least now you know how to get
    there faster.
