    Save game corrupted


    Hello everyone.

    Yesterday my Xbox One turned off suddenly while I was playing a game (Dark Souls III, specifically). The problem is that, when I turned on the xbox and started the game, the message "save game corrupted" appeared. The only solution offered by the Xbox is
    delete the corrupted data and start the game from the beginning. And it is frustrating.

    I deleted the saved data from the console and went back to synchronise with the cloud data, giving the same error.

    I know that doesn't look good but, are there any solutions?

    I can't understand that an advanced console as Xbox One doesn't have a restore data option for these cases.

    Did MS give up on "the cloud"?

    Speaking in a somewhat related direction, cloud saving saved my ass, last night. (No pun intended.) For whatever reason, my save for Sebastien Loeb Rally EVO was corrupt...corrupted(?). Anyway, I deleted the local save file, rebooted the game, and it sync'd up with my XBL save, and I was good to go.

    It is happening to me as well right after the last patch. No idea why it started. Haven't played the campaign since last year.

    Hi Red Langosta,

    Sorry you're having issues with your save. If you have a corrupt save, then yes the only solution would be to delete the local save and resync with the cloud. If you find that the cloud save is corrupted too, then unfortunately you will likely need to start
    over on the game. Sorry for the bad news Save game corrupted :(

    Check to see if your Skyrim has any corrupted game saves.

    To determine whether a saved game is corrupted, follow these steps:

    3.Select Games, and then press the A button.

    4.Select the game, and then press the A button.

    5.Select the saved game, and then press the A button.

    If the saved game file is corrupted, it will be marked as Corrupt Content and will have a yellow exclamation mark.

    Unfortunately, you cannot recover saved game files that are corrupted. To protect other content, delete the corrupted saved game file.
